Accepting these terms
This website is operated by MM Care Group Sdn Bhd, which runs Poliklinik MM FamilyCare & Surgeri in Mutiara Rini and ten Klinik MM Care branches across Johor. By browsing the site, sending us an enquiry, or attending one of our clinics, you agree to these terms.
We may update them from time to time. The version shown here, with the date at the top of the page, is the one that applies.
Not for emergencies
This is not an emergency service. If you or someone with you has a life-threatening condition — difficulty breathing, chest pain, loss of consciousness, severe bleeding or suspected stroke — call 999 or go directly to your nearest hospital emergency department immediately.
Our clinics provide general-practice medical care, not emergency or intensive treatment. We cannot guarantee that a doctor will be available without a wait.
Using this website
You may use this site for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You must not use it to spread false or harmful information, attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, or use automated tools to extract content in bulk.
We do our best to keep the site available, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend or change the site at any time without notice for maintenance or operational reasons.
Accuracy of information
The health and service information on this site is provided for general guidance only and is not a substitute for professional medical advice. Always consult one of our qualified doctors for advice specific to your situation.
Branch hours, available services and other operational details may change. Please contact the branch directly or call our head office to confirm current information before travelling.
Appointments and walk-ins
Most of our branches accept walk-in patients. Appointments may be available at selected branches — contact your preferred location to check. Having an appointment does not guarantee you will be seen at exactly that time; emergencies and clinical need are always prioritised.
If you need to cancel, please tell us as soon as possible so the slot can be offered to another patient.
Treatment and consent
Our doctors will explain your condition and any proposed treatment before proceeding. You have the right to ask questions and to make an informed decision about your care. Treatment will only be given with your consent, or — for children under 18 — the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
For your own safety, please give complete and truthful information about your symptoms, existing conditions, allergies and any medication or supplements you take. Follow the instructions given to you, finish prescribed courses of medication, and come back for review if you are told to or if your condition worsens.
A doctor may decline to provide a treatment, prescription or certificate that is not clinically appropriate. Where a condition needs care beyond the scope of a general practice clinic, you will be referred to a hospital or specialist.
Your records are handled as set out in our Privacy Policy.
Personal data & PDPA
Your personal data is protected under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA), Malaysia. MM Care Group Sdn Bhd is a data user as defined under the Act and is committed to handling your personal data responsibly and lawfully.
What we collect
When you register, attend a consultation or contact us, we collect personal data that may include your full name, identity card or passport number, date of birth, contact details, medical history, diagnosis, prescriptions, test results, payment information, and employer or insurer details where applicable.
Why we collect it
Your personal data is used to provide and manage your clinical care, process payments and insurance or panel claims, comply with legal and regulatory obligations, communicate appointment reminders or important health notices, and improve the quality and safety of our services.
Who we share it with
We share your data only where necessary — with your employer's panel administrator or insurer to process a claim, with hospitals or specialists if you are referred, with government agencies such as the Ministry of Health when required by law, and with our own staff and contracted service providers who support clinic operations. We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
Your rights under the PDPA
Under the PDPA 2010, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — ask us to correct data that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date
- Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time, although this may affect our ability to provide certain services
- Limit processing — request that we stop using your data for purposes other than providing your clinical care, where lawfully permitted
To exercise any of these rights, write to us at our head office address or email info@mmcaregroup.com. We will respond within 21 days.
Retention
We keep clinical records for a minimum of seven years from your last visit, or longer where required by law or professional guidelines. Records relating to minors are kept until they reach the age of 25 or for seven years from the last visit, whichever is later.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. Access to patient records is restricted to authorised clinical and administrative staff on a need-to-know basis.
For full details of how we collect, use and protect your data, please read our Privacy Policy.
Fees and payment
Charges depend on the consultation, the medication dispensed and any procedures or tests carried out, and are in line with the fee schedule permitted under Malaysian private healthcare regulations. You may ask for an estimate before treatment and an itemised receipt after it.
| Item | How it works |
| Payment timing |
Due at the end of your visit, unless your employer's panel or insurer covers it directly |

Consultation fees are not refundable once a consultation has taken place. Billing errors are corrected in full — tell us within 14 days |
| Medication returns |
For safety reasons, dispensed medication cannot be returned or exchanged |
| Outstanding amounts |
Unpaid balances remain payable and may be pursued through normal recovery channels |
Panel and insurance patients
If your visit is covered by a company panel arrangement or a medical insurer, cover is set by your employer's or insurer's own terms — not by us. You will need to identify yourself as a panel patient at registration and produce valid identification or a card.
If a claim is rejected, or if you receive a service outside the scope of your cover, the amount becomes payable by you. To process a claim, we share the limited information described in our Privacy Policy with the panel administrator or insurer.
Medical certificates and reports
A medical certificate is a clinical judgement, issued only when the doctor who examined you considers that you are unfit for work or school. It is dated from the consultation, and we do not backdate certificates or issue them without an examination.
Medical reports, insurance forms and pre-employment documentation are prepared on request, usually carry a separate fee, and take time to complete. We release them to you, or to a third party you have authorised in writing.
Conduct at our clinics
Our clinics are shared spaces used by unwell patients, children and elderly people. We ask everyone to be considerate of others and of our staff.
- Abusive, threatening or violent behaviour towards staff or other patients is not tolerated
- Do not photograph or record other patients, staff or clinic areas
- Smoking and alcohol are not permitted on clinic premises
- Children must be supervised by an accompanying adult at all times
- We are not responsible for personal belongings left at the clinic
We may refuse service, or ask a person to leave, where behaviour puts the safety of others at risk. Serious incidents are reported to the police.
Intellectual property
The MM Care Group name, logo, page designs, text, graphics and photographs on this site belong to MM Care Group Sdn Bhd or are used with permission. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use.
Reproducing, republishing or adapting any part of the site for another purpose requires our written permission. Names and logos of other organisations shown on the site remain the property of their respective owners.
Limits of liability
We take reasonable care over the content of this website, but we do not accept liability for loss arising from reliance on general information published here, from the site being temporarily unavailable, or from content on third-party sites we link to.
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for the clinical care our doctors provide, or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under Malaysian law.
Feedback and complaints
If something has gone wrong, please tell us. Speak to the person in charge at the branch first — most issues can be resolved on the spot. If you would rather escalate, write to our head office using the details below.
We acknowledge written complaints within seven working days and aim to give a full response within 30 days. If you remain dissatisfied, you may take the matter to the Ministry of Health Malaysia or the Malaysian Medical Council.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from services provided at our clinics. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining parts continue to apply.
